Rifle Blanks
|
This is eastern Washington walnut shade tree, probably all nursery trees. These walnut blanks are very hard, heavy and dense. This is another name for a type of Bastogne. The higher-grade blanks also have depth like the Turkish walnut. Pictures never can truly show the depth in wood.

Some pictures of blanks are washed out on the ends, due to sun glare. The color in the butt will go thru to the forend of these blanks.
Blanks that look black usually have lots of fine blank lines in them.
Please give me a call and I will be happy to pull and take a look at any blank and describe it in detail.
I'm not a professional photographer.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to helping you.
